Cougar of the Week!

Juliana was our Cougar of the Week this week. She did an excellent job leading our class throughout the school and helping Mrs. H-B with extra duties. We learned that Juliana was born in California, she loves spending time with her family, and she is a great dancer!

A Great End!

We had a fantastic end to the first week of school. We played math games, read tons of great books, celebrated Spirit Day, and ended the week with lots of smiles at the Cougar Store. Thanks for making our first full week a great one!

"Me Bags"

On Friday, the HBees shared our "me bags" with each other. This was a fun activity that helped us all get to know one another better and find out more about each person in our class. Mrs. H-B's bag was filled with books because she loves to read and teaching reading, USC gamecock items, a Target reusable bag because she loves to shop at Target and a San Jose Restaurant menu because she loves to eat at San Jose! We also learned that we have several dancers and cheerleaders in our class along with many boys who love to play with Legos and Superheros. We also found out that we all love being at Pleasant Hill Elementary School and everyone loves school! What a great way to start out our year in second grade!

2nd Day of 2nd Grade!!

Today we celebrated the 2nd day of 2nd grade in our classroom. We enjoyed many fun activities that included 2nd day of 2nd grade visors, chewed double bubble gum, read 2 great books, made a name graph, drew self-portraits, and talked about things that come in pairs.
