Rain Gauges

As we completed our weather unit, Mrs. H-B planning a project for our class to make rain gauges. We made them out of 2 liter bottles. We had so much fun making rain gauges and now we know have something we can measure the rainfall in!

Critical Thinking Challenge: Building the Tallest Tower

Every Friday our class participates in a Critical Thinking Challenge. Mrs. H-B breaks us up in teams of 4-5 and we have a task we have to accomplish in 30 minutes. She gives us the only materials we can use and we have to brainstorm how to accomplish the goal. We use the 7 Habits of Happy Kids to helps us accomplish the task and work together as a team. During this critical thinking challenge, Mrs. H-B gave us 40 straws and 1 rubber band. Our task was to build the tallest building using ONLY the straws, wrappers, and rubber band.
