A cougar`s yell sounds like a human scream. The cougar is also called the mountain devil. The cougar has six more names one of them is lord of the forest, puma , panther, painter, wildcat, or mountain lion. As soon as a baby cougar is born the mother licks there paws one by one. Baby cougars are called kittens like house cats. There mostly no dad cougars because they might eat the kittens. There are two kittens and a mom. Usally the cougars den`s are in crevices near rocks. Technology in Our Classroom

Our classroom is full of technology and we are very thankful for that! Mrs. HB ensures that we each are able to get our hands on technology every day in our classroom. She lets us play games and review lessons on the SMARTboard, we can play games and look at educational websites on one of our desktop computers, we can type and publish stories on our other desktop, and Mrs. HB even lets us play Everyday Math games on her iPhone using the free Everyday Math apps. Mrs. HB wants us prepared for the 21st century and to do that she teaches us how to use technology in ways that will help advance our academic skills.

Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs Critical Thinking Challenge

Each Friday our class participates in a Critical Thinking Challenge. These challenges have to be completed with a team and without any help from Mrs. HB. The Critical Thinking Challenges are meant to build out of the box thinking, creative thinking, team work strategies, etc. A challenge we recently had was when each team was given a paper bag full of random supplies and they had to build a boat that would take them from the town of Chewandswallow to the new town that the residents moved to. They had 30 minutes to construct a boat that would float in a sink full of water. The boats they created were incredible! Great job, HBees!!
